Problem was found to be caused by the pinch rollerassy, ref. 771, slipping over the base of the take-up guide assy., ref.752, causing these 2 parts to jam with each other.

LINES THROUGH PICTURE (FOUND POOR SOLDERING OF IC201) Customer complaint was lines through picture found camerapicture wad distorted. Problem was found to be caused by IC201 on theVC-167 MCB, which was poorly soldered. IC201 is the Y/C processor.

DEAD (FOUND LOOSE CONNECTIONS AROUND IC400) Unit was dead. Problem was found to be caused by looseconnections around IC400 on the VC-167 MCB.

NO EJECT (FOUND SOLDER BRIDGE ON FP249 SHORTING SENSOR H002) Unit would not eject. Found problem to be caused by a solderbridge on FP-249 (below the takeup reel). The bridge shorted reelhall sensor H002, preventing any reel pulses from being generated.

NO REW OR REVIEW, NOISE IN PLAY (MAGNET ON REEL CAME LOOSE) The unit had no rewind or review. Noise could be heard duringplay. Found problem to be caused by the magnet on the supply reel comingloose.

DEAD (FOUND LOOSE CONNECTOR BETWEEN POWER MCB & MAIN MCB) The unit was dead found a loose connector between the powerboard and the main board.
